I wasn’t offended by the questionable German-ness of German week but I thought it was a slightly mean theme when there’s exactly one German on the show.

You make a great point, maybe the correct theme of this week was really “Stuff You Find at a “German” Christmas Market in the UK”....

This was the first week where multiple things bugged me.

It must be a tricky line for the producers to walk when casting people. I’ve seen large numbers of people complain when a series has four or five professional grade bakers but also people complain when it gets towards the end and no-one does a good job at the technical or the showstoppers look very homemade...

Glad is a strong word but I’m a bit relieved Maggie didn’t have a few weeks where she avoided going home. Bad execution of “traditional British desserts” was not a great game plan.

I mixed this up with “Blindspot” for a moment and was extremely confused by the description of the show as excellent ;-)

Yeah agreed, it would have been nice for JW to get at least one RTD season. Jodie and the companions have been fine but the stories in general have been so so boring. I have half a season on my TiVo unwatched because the show just started feeling like homework.

I don’t think it helps that all the Time Lord stories tend to go hand in hand with stories about how the Doctor and the Master are extra special Time Lords created for a specific purpose or something.

Plus you know they are just going to bring them back again at some point anyway. Leave the Time Lords alone.

I felt like this week’s result was fair but I wish Rochica had made it a bit further.

It isn’t said enough but Eva Green really elevates Casino Royale for me.

I don’t know if they were explicitly dinosaurs but I think the C Pike book you mean is Monster.

I liked the book series as a kid and I am looking forward to watching season two.
