My experience as a black woman means would be different from the majority of people who identify as women, because I’m black and most women aren’t. Does that mean I can’t audition for roles as women?
I’m a cisgender woman and I don’t know what the experience of ovarian cysts, hysterectomy, pelvic or cervical cancer, or menopause are either. And unless someone is making a movie specifically about those things, I don’t see why it matters. I’m pretty sure Jennifer Lawrence never started a mop company or competed…
Probably because they make somebody a lot of money.
After looking this kid up (again), I’m even more enraged by his sentence.
I actually don’t think that’s correct. Charles is currently first in the line of British succession, but William is second and George is third. Anne is actually 14th in line to the throne.
Bingo! I shall not pay to watch this but I shall hate-watch it on Netflix when it pops up there 8 months or so from now.
The ancestors sacrificed themselves so that we could live in freedom, not so that we could cower in fear of what the white man thinks about us. In my opinion, the best way I can honor my ancestors’ sacrifices is by not giving a good goddamn what white people as a whole think about me and my musical choices/preferences…
You know, we have endless conversations about women’s (and especially black women’s) sexuality and what women performers should and should not not do in order to win the respect and celebration of audiences. But y’all like to disappear into the woodwork when it comes to (black) men. Black men can do anything and…
Definitely read the Washington Post story if you haven’t already. It captures the true absurdity of this case.

Yes, but the university wouldn’t be firing him because of him expressing his thoughts alone. He expressed thoughts about the very field that he’s in, and the speech he spoke made it clear that he won’t have an unbiased approach towards women in his field and students of color in his classes.
You can’t make people with mental health disorders see that they need help. They have to come to it on their own.
Uh, we tried imprisoning mentally ill people throughout the 20 the century. It doesn’t work so well.
The market of people who don't play video games is not small - that includes half of the United States and most of the world. The problem is Stadia doesn't solve the reason why people in those chunks don't play games.
Well, if the company goes out of business these tech entrepreneurs will just start another one. And they’ll be seen as “successful” because they started a business you’ve heard of before...regardless of the fact that the business itself want viable in the long term.
I’m a researcher, and we use it to transcribe recordings of interviews. Transcription is difficult and tedious (I’ve done it before) and thus is normally MUCH more expensive when done by humans. When we saw Rev’s prices for human transcription, we were both overjoyed and suspicious. It's not much more than machine…
