There seems to be a pattern, certain celebs *cough* Taylor Swift, will elicit this snarky response in a post about them donating to charity. Others will get the respectful treatment when the post is about them being questioned in an assault case

This is Jezebel. Sometimes it’s totally proper to mock someone’s personal appearance, lifestyle choices, relationships, and mental or physical health. Other times, people react like you just smashed a puppy with a brick on YouTube. The fun part is that you never know which one it will be until you open the thread!

Also, multi-generational households are very common—and even encouraged—in other cultures. No shame in having mom (or grandmom) around, especially in a place like that multi-million dollar townhouse of his!

He lives with his mom, or his mom lives with him (semantics), because they both agree it’s what is needed for his mental health, and that  isn’t kind to be snarky about.

I wandered into a pro-Bernie thread on twitter yesterday, and the vitriol and laser focus on Warren was weird. Person after person attacking her. I don’t get it.

Let’s collect all the sexist/misogynist stereotypes that Warren will inevitably subjected to. Because you know it’s coming. There is a reason why the second choice for Biden supporters is Sanders and the second choice for Sanders supporters is Biden. They are dudes. If Warren inevitably beats them both, the backlash…

The idea that Elizabeth Warren isn’t charming, charismatic, likeable or relateable is sexist bullshit, full stop.

Zerlina Maxwell said last year that this country has a problem with women and people of color in power.

People want someone who can solve all the country’s problems but isn’t smarter than them.  Voters are a very fickle group.

This is all enormously depressing. I would much prefer to have an exasperated, intelligent woman running the show. Think Hillary during her endless Benghazi testimony, or Merkel any damn day of the week. They have no patience with nonsense and silly, mainstream notions of what is considered acceptable female deportment…
