Yes. I tried to eat better last year (salads and more fruit), but the salad greens and fruit would go bad before I would get thru them all. I switched back to Lean Cuisine/frozen crap for lunch. It’s gross and has too much sodium, but also costs less, takes less time, never goes bad. This whole discussion ties in with

I grew up pretty broke and use those sell by dates as a guideline. Mostly I do a “sniff” test or poke around at the food and observe the texture. My husband grew up upper middle class. He acts like the sell by date is the law. Also anyone else grow up just cutting mold off cheese instead of throwing the whole piece

People freaking out over sell by dates on milk and eggs drive me crazy! Another thing that drives me crazy is people assumption that if something is left unrefrigerated for any amount of time, it must be thrown away.

aha there we go.

I got your puppy pix here.

Sup.

ALL OF YOUR DOGS ARE BEAUTIFUL PLEASE LET ME PET THEM

I think your comment comes off as a bit dismissive and insensitive to be honest. Not everyone has children, and for those who don’t pets feed the human instinct to nurture, protect, care, want to sell your charge to gypsies etc...

Wow.

Sorry, I don’t buy that teenage girls- in an era when rape wasn’t as clearly defined as it is now- would’ve beat up an older man in a position of power who was capable of destroying their careers and reputations (not to mention capable of sexually assaulting them, too). A more realistic scenario is that they saw what

I know that fear. One thought that comforts me is that it doesn’t seem to make sense for there to be a such thing as *the* present, whatever our subjective experience of reality might feel like. So it’s always the case that we’re alive in some times and dead in others. Just as we are present in some locations and

Since I died not once, but three times, I feel I have something to say about this.

This. Sometimes I think Jezebel is a dual forum for healthy comunication and support for the depressed and afflicted. Can I assume you are in recovery? Either way, good luck and all blessings. Depression can go fuck itself.

My kittens are on the case!

“I am terrified of death. If there is a hell that’s where I am convinced I am going. If there is just nothing, like I never existed, that is just as horrifying.”

Of course this is totally adorable. One incredibly dull and non-cute observation I had is that they were feeding it over the bowl so it will learn that the bowl is where one goes for food. I thought that seemed like a smart animal-psychology thing to do.

The appeal: cheaper, easier to transport, lasts forever Re:my gorgeous handmade paper bouquets

Counterpoint: I used to make origami bouquets for weddings, and I stand by my work; you can use recycled paper, you can custom paint/print them, they are cheaper, they can be made well ahead of time, and they last for years if you want to keep them.

Argh, I hate the way people treat fish as disposable. Bettas need at least 2-3 gallons and a filter, if you don’t have live plants. Goldfish can live for 5+ years if you take care of them right (they produce a lot of ammonia and need a good filter and plenty of space).

You’re wrong about Bulbasaur; it’s definitely squirtle.
