Thank you so much for your kind words. Honestly, you are the first other person I’ve heard of that also had reading/speaking problems as a result of traumatic depression (though I’ve read of it before). Yes, it was crazy and maddening! I am a huge reader so it was really awful. Honestly, the whole time I felt like I

So sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine. My friend suffered severe illness from a significant other stepping out and the Dr was like, deal with stress better. Sure! Easier said then done doc.

How to break US law in three easy steps....

Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you in a place now where you feel well and happy!

This is so true. My last depression was the worst of my life and caused around half of my hair to fall out and though I didn’t develop a stammer, I lost the ability to read for 3 months or so and when I would attempt to read aloud, I spoke strangely and haltingly for about 8 months. That was after I could read again.

Sending you wishes for self care and healing.

Stress and grief do a number. My dad died six weeks ago after a very stressful ten-week hospitalization, and I have lost all ability to gauge time, remember, well, anything, and and recently i am suffering from what i think may be vertigo.

That is so fascinating. I’m so sorry for all of the trauma you’ve lived through. I hope you’re feeling better.

So, so sorry. Glad you have recovered. My heart goes out to you.

So sorry for your loss. Glad you feel better.

A really good point. There is, in the very least, a safety net for the time they are in Sweden. Something we haven’t got, here.

I read this article in the New Yorker yesterday and it completely blew my mind. I had no idea that this condition existed. The human brain can react to emotional trauma in such incredible ways. These poor children and families.

The recovery is also complex, taking months or years. It’s hard to imagine the stress enough to make a usually resilient child suffer from catatonia. (No food, no self care - this is very different from “malingering” that I saw elsewhere.) At least these children are in a country where medical help is readily

Do you want terrorists? This is how you get terrorists.

Edit for clarity: by kicking out CHILDREN who have nowhere to go and lose all hope.

I am just about as big a King fan as one can be and I am so totally thrilled with how this looks. I for one love the Edwardian look on Pennywise.

I have never read or seen the original IT (I know, I know, I’m even from Maine where Stephen King reigns supreme!) and the trailer scared the crap out of me.

Even as an adult, I hate scary movies, but I loved It and Pet Cemetery when I was a kid. You couldn’t get me to watch either of those now and I won’t be watching this either. I’m older and more afraid!!

As I mentioned in another thread, I was skeptical—but this looks pretty good, for a teaser.

With all due respect for my fellow Democrats, She does need to run again in 2020. Why? The environment. She not only had brilliant ideas for the planet, she was the only one with any ideas at all. People really, really need to stop going on charm and instead, actually read the campaign websites. Clinton’s ideas could
