I don't think anything is cheating until you've both said "we're in a relationship". Once you cross that line, it's tacky to leave up profiles IMO. I wouldn't confront the guy in dramatic fashion yelling "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?", but I think that is a sign they are keeping their options open.

It's great some people in your family stepped up. It's sad to not see people taking care of family. I have some relatives I like more than others, but when push comes to shove if anyone really needed me I'd be there.

Sure, it's reasonable for grandparents to decline to take care of children. I would never force them into it, and if they want to have the typical (in the U.S.), once-a-year visitation schedule that grandparents have, that's fine. It's what I expect will happen with my in laws.

It's something that's very common in non-waspy cultures. I'm hispanic, and it's accepted that grandparents help raise the grandchildren. In turn, the children are expected to help the parents in their old age and not dump them off at a nursing home at the first opportunity.

It's a tech company. A lot of the stereotypes are true: re casual work attire. Some of the guys in the office even wear basketball shorts in the summer and no one said anything.
