Interesting. I thought Hardhome was one of the best episodes the show has ever produced, and one of the best arguments for the existence of the show. It focused on an event that’s technically in the books but ‘unseen’, and told a story through visuals that would have been a lesser story on the page. (I’m thinking of

To each their own, but I respectfully disagree! My wife played through Ocarina of Time for the first time a few years ago and I was impressed by how well it actually holds up against modern games and in the hands of an adult who has not spent their whole life playing video games. There’s a lot to love about that game!

You have forever changed the meta of the Smash scene. :)

FYI, I don’t think “Sega Classics” is really a prize at all. It’s just the “wrapper” game for Golden Axe. Some people might get excited and mistakenly think this awards them all of the games that fall under the Sega Classics banner. Instead with this you get the Sega Classics launcher with 1 game (Golden Axe) and the

OK, here’s the counterpoint, then:
Tattoos are protected copyrightable works to prevent tattoo artists from stealing each others’ designs, or designers stealing tattoo artists’ designs for other things that aren’t tattoos.

I think remix is supposed to include all the levels that are modifications of specific classic levels, i.e. World 1-1 Remix.

As stated earlier in the article, it’s fun being part of a cultural moment. These ‘reveals’ are a marketing ploy, sure, but they’re effective because they’re grounded in things that fans really do want and are happy to be able to spend money on. If Nintendo didn’t make Cloud available in Super Smash Bros., it’s not as

The bundles generally don’t discount anything or barely discount them (if you do the math), and they include lots of Mii Costumes that it’s likely you don’t care about. Buy individually and be picky-and-choosey about what you want. I finally caved and bought a few Mii Costumes, but only the ones I actually knew and

Is it really so shocking that a talented team of developers is ready to stop working on their I-could-get-sued-at-any-time project, and start working on projects they can make money off of? This is all speculation, but honestly, to me, it sounds like someone on the team wants a job and doesn’t want the threat of

My point was that I love traditional JRPGs, but that I think the writing in this game is really terrible (and maybe that controlling the game is a little clunky). I would love a highly polished traditional JRPG in the vein of Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, etc., but for me, this isn’t it. But I’m glad someone’s

I’m not really sure why you’re so in love with these games, Jason. I’m glad they’re entertaining someone, I suppose, even if it’s not me. I played a significant amount of the first one before I realized I was just not enjoying it enough to make it worthwhile. The dialogue and story combine the worst parts of the worst

Definitely thought this is what the headline was getting at. Since it wasn’t, I’m calling it now - we will see “combiner” Pokemon forms in the future!

Looks awesome. Makes me want to be able to design Smash levels with Super Mario Maker :). Might actually be more fun than using the Stage Builder.

Smash Wii U, Earthbound, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Monument Valley. #patientgamers

I think in general they only showed CG characters / costumed characters because they aren’t paying for the actors’ likenesses. That combined with the fact that all of the characters depicted have spanned multiple generations, probably for the same reasons, like appearing in the cartoons in the last few years or in

Everyone who loved the game before still loves it now. They’re disappointed that tournament mode, which is a new thing, doesn’t work the way they’ve been hoping it would work. Expressing that to Nintendo is worth doing because it means the next tournament mode might be better.

If you’re in the US, the first reason is that broadcast TV (i.e. the first 13 or so channels) are required to meet certain standards of family-friendliness, by law, (among other things like providing fair-and-balanced news coverage), because at the time TV started, there was a limited band of frequencies we could

My point is... “Who cares if it looks 10 years old?” I was never into it because it had cutting edge graphics. It looks just as promising now as it did then. When it comes out I’ll find out more about it and if the reviews are positive, I’ll try it out.

Does the big creature look low-poly? Yes! So do the big creatures in Shadow of the Colossus. That game is amazing.

There are times when it is OK to tell someone they sound like an idiot!
