1957 Aston Martin DRB2 - chassis no DBR2/2.

A new addition to the Island of Misfit Toys, as it were....

Swing and a miss on the tone and whole point of the article....

Corvette C6SR... owned by one of the vintage racers here in the Seattle. Saw it f or the first time at our last event. Serial #3, built by Pratt & Miller...

85 was 230HP -330 ft/lbs torque

The 85 has a dead pedal...

Mines an 85 with an automatic, didn’t want a manual. and the TPI is miles ahead of the 84 setup.

True... but for me the seating position is better and so is the leg room. The C4 has more of a ‘cockpit’ feel.

I’ve got a C4, and a buddy of mine has a C5. The ergonomics for 6'4" guy like me are a lot better in the C4. Much more comfortable to drive...

Don’t get all the hate for the C4. It’s fun, cheap entertainment. I know I like mine...

Unfotunately, ‘None of the Above’ was not a choice this last election cycle...

Possibly... but that would require us to be, I don’t know, more European?

And we just don’t care....

If you squint... really hard... you can see elements of the Aston Martin Lagonda in this little jewel... and researching the Guyson E-12, it was desigbned by William Towns, the guy who designed the Lagonda...

So... Han shot first?

I’d buy it in a heartbeat (for maybe $1500) and use it as my shuttle at racetracks to carry my camera gear... Tow it down, and use it like a golf cart..

They were fast at Sonoma. And pretty stout too. This one got spun in the esses on drivers right, hit the K-rail backwards breaking one in half and knocking down two more (right where I’d been standing about a minute before. It’s an approved shooting area, but is marked as a high impact zone). Damn near went over, then

Not really... Motor was seriously strong... Biggest problem was at Laguna Seca one year with the noise restrictions. Intake noise was so loud it set off the sound meter - had to figure out an airbox of some sort on the spot...

L18 block punched 10 over, dual Solex 50's, cam, header, L20B electoninc distibutor... 235HP at the flywheel.. Raced this setup for several years - just freshened it up at the end of each season. The L series motors are damn near bulletproof
