All we know is.... he’s not called The Stig.

My pleasure...

Every year at Long Beach, the crowds trackside are huge whenever the trucks take to the track. Always one of my favorites to shoot.

I’ve got an L-18 Datsun race motor just gathering dust at the moment - dynoed at 240hp with the dual 50mm carbs... How much fun could I have with that motor in this lightweight little toy... but yeah, gotta vote CP. At 3-4k maybe... but not at 9k...

Gotta vote NP on this one. If it’s been well maintained, mileage isn’t an issue... I mean, you’re not gonna DD this - it’s a summertime cruiser. The timing chains have been done, and that’s a biggie on these. I’ve got one of these at my Mom’s place in San Diego and use it when I’m down there. Never driven it with the

We may have broken the Detroit Craigslist posting for this one...

And they say the days of the riding mechanic have gone... Hah!

Yeah, but it works really well off-road... better than the Vette!

Brakes... I jump out of my 85 Corvette (big 4 wheel discs, no ABS) and into my lifted 95 XJ and I have to remember to leave an extra 100ft to stop.... at least. Ride not so much, the Vette has the Z51 suspension, so it rides a bit - stiff. Doesn’t seem bad to me, but then I do daily a lifted Jeep...

No ABS? Traction Control? Airbags??

Maybe a touch of hyperbole. The car I borrowed went 189 at the Texas Mile...

Except Indycar.... I’m looking at you Lewis...

^^^ This!^^^

So I’m just wondering how much one of these little jewels would set me back if I wanted a fun desert/off-road toy....

Yeah, Lewis’s comments were pretty lame...

The other photog was in the perfect place to grab the shot... just a little jelly ...

Haven’t looked at the schedule yet, but with F1's summer break coming up, I’m certain Lewis could put together a one off drive, on a road course (gotta play to his strengths) and come over and show Indy drivers just how it’s done....
