So basically the obesity epidemic is not only hitting people, but also beds? What next, beds that get heart attacks at 50? Triple bypass beds? Diets for beds?

I just got one! Two months of looking and I finally got one at a nursing home. The pay is awesome though, and I'm getting some experience so maybe an acute care job on the horizon ... fingers crossed.
My wavyish hair gets greasy really easy, but my daughters super curly hair never gets greasy and I only shampoo it once every week or two. Her hair is also coarser than mine, so maybe that's it?
People look down on Charmed? I loved that show. Witches kicking ass are awesome.
I'm donating my body to science, but if someone found my bones six thousand years from now and thought they were cool, I'm down with that. I mean, I would have been dead for 6000 years, I really don't think I'd give a fuck.
Ohhh ... yeah, I think that's the one color I never did, my sister-in-law did though, and her hair was fucked up for quite some time when her parents made her get her hair stripped to remove the color. Okay, that makes so much more sense now.
Grotesquely youthful, the hot beef injections worked so well she looked about 18, this really sickened people.
Bald patches? What kind of crazy hair dye? I used bleach, punk colors and kool-aid regularly for like 10 years and never had bald patches. Did that really happen or did they just shave their head?
WTF? Did they even read any of the scientific literature or did they just pray for their answers? If they would have read they would have realized that this thing has features of both the Austra, which is more "apey", and the homo, which is more "humaney". That's why this is so thrilling, it's an awesome mixture. …
Okay, here's the thing, you obviously overlooked the part in my post where I put Greek/Egyptian for Cleopatra, she was a greek lady who married into an Egyptian culture. That is the point. Yes, she was Greek, but many of her clothing's may have been Egyptian. I'm not trying to belittle what the American Indian's…
I can't really tell from your comment whether or not that's a bad thing. Can you enlighten me a bit more?
I'm so glad you responded to this post. My sister and I were talking about this very fact the other day. We were eating dinner when we saw some ladies in saris, I commented to her how beautiful they were, and how comfortable they looked. She was about to say the exact same thing, we looked at eachother and asked,…
I agree with you about the relative time periods of the events. However, Native American history is a very large part of U.S history in general, and most people I know, myself included, have some (though not a lot) of native blood in them, it's going to be something kids learn about in school, something that…
Thank you :) I'm mostly Swedish, I officially give anyone permission to wear any sort of viking/swedish costume. Just be careful what type of swedish costume you let your kids wear, the female ones are generally pretty racy. I would have thought that Swedish women have done more than be beer maids, like, you know,…
I did feel a little iffy about that one, because I see people wearing them a lot, for most of the cultural costumes it seems like more of a historical thing to me.
Ahhh...thanks, I didn't think that looked like a rhino :/
That's kind of what I was thinking, as long as it's not something that puts that culture into a bad light I don't see why it has to be a bad thing, especially when it can be a learning opportunity.
No, I wouldn't dream of wearing black face. But black face has a history beyond even slavery. It was used to make fun of the racist stereotype many Americans had of black people. That, to me, is different than celebrating diversity, which I think respectful Halloween costumes do. Why not use that time to talk to…
Hate to break it to you, but c-sections hurt too. My mom had one after three vag births and said it was a million times worse (she could have been exaggerating a bit). The recovery is generally longer too. They'll give you pain meds after a c-section, but at the hospital I precepted at they gave vag birth women…
I agree with you, the fact that many women already choose c-sections, and that their doctors go along with them, makes me uncomfortable. It's more expensive, it's more dangerous, and there are more risks of complications. But, who am I to say what a woman should do with her body?
