Boston also has decent tax breaks, from what I understand—they filmed the new Ghostbusters here last summer. But I think those breaks may be up for renewal and it may not happen.

Glad you’re ok—thanks for the update on what it looks like from the inside.

really? could you elaborate? I saw the show at ART and really enjoyed it. I’m very curious about changes!

This looks great, I am so excited! I’m also so pleased the costumes are actually late 18th century and not Regency—it will be a nice change for an Austen adaptation, somehow Georgian just exudes bitchiness to me.

That makes sense—if any restriction bothers you, than corsets will be just as uncomfortable :)

actually, as someone who finds spanx/spandex shapewear to be torture, and who frequently wears a corset, my corset is WAY more comfy. Some of it is how much your natural body shape aligns with the shape you are trying to achieve (ex, as an hourglass, an 1860s corset trying to be an hourglass shape is great), but a lot

oh shit I totally forgot about that! I remember Samantha’s books being way darker than they are given credit for in general, though, so I’m not surprised.

Did you also read the “[character’s] World” books? I used to get those from the library and pour over the sources/historical background that shaped the books. I learned so much!

Starred for AG Magazine!

So, as another P&P enthusiast who enjoyed the 40s version, I will add that I saw PPZ last night with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s silly and fun and utterly ridiculous, while maintaining some rather lovely bits from Austen’s novel. We laughed a lot but with—not at—the film, and I will definitely see

I can only answer half of this, since I don’t have endo—but if it is at all helpful, I have a uterus that has never been occupied, and I don’t think I had worse side effects. Some cramping when it was first put in, but that’s it! I hope you find more info on how endo changes things—I know the staff at PP I saw were

I’m actually interested to see how they would accomplish a kit like this (if they do), because the faces are hard plastic and the bodies are fabric. Would you need different adhesive for face vs body scars? So many possibilities!

ok serious question about the transformation one—one of my partners is also into transformations and I am a little stuck on how to make that happen. Any advice or insight?

oh that is awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing :)

Antique automatons are SO COOL! I really want someone to x-ray a bunch, because I’d love to see their inner workings (without destroying them). (also sidenote, the doll always reminds me of the episode of Dr Who in Louis IVX France with alien robots, The Girl in the Fireplace)

:( I’m in a pet-free building, but one of our family cats was FIV+. He was the sweetest (also an orange tabby!), and I hope that Oliver ends up in a loving home! Thank you for taking him in and trying to find somewhere for him to go.

Yeah, I don’t typically like 3D movies (I didn’t get to pick), and having seen SW in both I’m with you—it was super unnecessary. That said, seeing the difference in trailers was interesting. I got Captain America at both I think? But X-Men only in 2D, along with the kids’ stuff (we got KFP3 and something with

I guess it depends on your preferences? I enjoyed the ST trailer. What trailers did you get? I assumed the trailers were set, so it’s interesting you got different ones.

Did you see SW in 2D or 3D? Just curious because I got this trailer at the 2D showing and Star Trek at the 3D...but I did get King Fu Panda 3 at both, so.
