The oppression in minority specific not the police brutality. And that focuses simply on deaths. Not the people wounded, beaten, raped, and harassed by police. And even armed is vague when you consider that people like freddie gray was armed with a legal knife. John Crawford and tamir rice were considered armed even

I think kaepernick has been very clear. Start holding the police accountable for their mistakes the way we do every other profession from doctors and Lawyers to truck drivers and fast food workers. Its just that many Americans really don’t want that so they change the subject.

Black cats are harder for shelters to adopt out. The struggle is real!

“I don’t see color!”

Ah, micro-aggressions.

It’s like sexism and racism got together to puke out their ugly baby, who then shit all over their front page.

Whenever the media tries to erase women, I like to remind them that she has a freaking name.

Nope, sorry. There is no excuse for referring to anyone like that. They would never write “Simone Bailes wins gold; Jew takes silver”

Ah, Racism. Alive and well in the good ol’ U S of A.

I’m going to hope it does. Even if they only get a few extra grand, it’s still a huge help to them. Maybe the money could go to food or clothes or utilities. That will be one less thing they have to worry about.

Unless this goes viral big-time, a few extra thousand won’t go far in Brooklyn. What this family really needs is government housing (which they may be waiting for) or help relocating and finding a job in a more affordable area.

I hope their story goes viral too. They’re up to $4,700 so far. I hope they get at least ten times that much.

Just donated and posted on social media. Would love to see this go viral.

Living in a shelter is really depressing. My girls and I went to one for some days because of dv and it is really sad, there was barely food, we had barely money, we did not had a car so we did not have a way to even take them to school, you feel like you are in jail.

I was just on their GoFundMe page and they’re only $900 over their goal. C’mon Jezzies, we can help out. Maybe we can help them go home to an actual home.

I’ve never donated money using gofundme. Is it pretty safe? I reeeeallly want to send these girls money, but I don’t want to be a chump. I want to make sure they get it. You understand, right?

I know this is supposed to be a feel good story and I am happy for the girls, but I can’t feel any joy. Are they coming back to live at the shelter? I just feel massively uncomfortable that we are expecting these girls (and one as little as 8) to physically work and push their bodies for 7-10 years for an opportunity

i think she wanted to use the n**ggA to be hip but ended using the one her parents use at home
