I’m with you on all this. Unless I’m misremembering doesn’t Palpatine let him go free after killing Savage? I never really think of him being captured.

I feel like it was some weird Sith “rule of two” stuff happening. Palpatine seems to like keeping potential apprentices around in case one disappoints...
