All I wanted was Ellie Kemper: The Show. UKS delivered in spades.

I highly recommend YouTube user VaatiVidya's original Prepare to Cry series on Dark Souls. It's fantastic stuff. While not really a let's play, it's the best commentary I've ever heard on a game that has spawned more commentary than any other recent title.

All hail the return of Miyazaki!

Most people seem to ignore agility (increased by ADP), but I really think you're *supposed* to increase it. Without enough agility, your i-frames are teh suck, resulting in getting clipped by enemy attacks you thought you dodged. The standard i-frames in DkS2 seem to be much lower than those in DkS, probably because

Actually, I think the "ERMAGERD PREPERE TER DRRRE" campaign is more Bamco's fault than From's. There are interviews with the devs that emphasize that their intent wasn't to make the games excessively hard, but rather to craft a fun and rewarding experience where you learn from every mistake.

DARK SOULS IS SO FUN OMG.

Dark Souls II rang pretty hollow for me, but that's partially because I had over-inflated expectations: I didn't find myself shaking, in a cold sweat during the ending credits like after the first two games. Solid B+ if you ask me.

As I mentioned in another post, it's about the gameplay. Although I love Zelda, I'd say confidently that Dark Souls is its natural successor: more a revised action adventure game than an ARPG. I'm not sure about you, but I've never played another aRPG where timing, stealth, manual targeting, manual criticals and

Just a friendly suggestion: make sure you don't play it with a keyboard and mouse! It's a sure recipe for sadness.

It doesn't have nearly as much to do with the style as with gameplay. I loved Skyrim for the music and the natural beauty, but whenever I found myself in an enemy encounter, I felt like I was flailing wildly with ten-foot-long arms. Control precision is totally lacking in first person ARPGs. Souls is really the first

The podracing game on n64 was the highlight of the Phantom Menace. Only good thing to come out of that movie.

The problem with the Hobbit movies is that they just don't have enough source material to match their ambition. In large part because of the LotR films, all fantasy must fit the bill of "epic"—plots with sweeping themes, huge, intricate sets, and a large cast of characters are par for the course. The Hobbit novel

I'm with you on VIII's overworld. I didn't like anything about it. The rest of that soundtrack, however… Well, I think it speaks for itself:

When/where did this happen?

Check out the Portuguese vocal version of "The Kids Run Through the City." This is from the official Final Fantasy: Pray vocal collection:

I feel the same way about Hamauzu! The music of the FFXIII trilogy only got better and better with each installment. The upbeat, energetic style of XIII-2 was a brilliant new direction for the series. I can't wait to hear what Shimomura produces for FFXV!

I haven't played Chrono Cross yet, but I nevertheless believe that it might have the best videogame soundtrack ever written.

Phantasy Star III's intro music was SUCH a tease. It had no right to be that good.

The name of Motoi Sakuraba, one of the most prolific soundtrack composers in history, has become synonymous with bombastic progressive rock and synth-infused Neo-Romanticism. Occasionally, however, Sakuraba shows us that he's capable of composing great event music, too. "Gwyn, Lord of Cinder" and "Majula" are subtle

How did Weezer start sucking so bad? It's always been a mystery to me.
