Thank you for this helpful walkthrough!!! Just followed all the things and have to say that’s a great tutorial. I have managed to migrate my blog of over 70 posts to a new one and not lost anything. Everything moved over fine.

This article is severely overcomplicating things. There is no reason for any Android user to lose contact information, or pretty much anything else. If you sign into your Google account, you're pretty much set.
