Everything he’s ever accused anyone else of doing is something he’s done himself, or wanted to do himself. And I don’t mean that as hyperbole - I mean people investigating Trump should be going back through his twitter feed, speeches and interviews gathering pointers.

If anyone is worried about this getting shut down now that it has press, worry not. Project 1999, to my knowledge, has some kind of official unofficial relationship with Daybreak to keep themselves on the level.

They were going to use a hardware solution first:

He didn’t have clue one where he was.

“Obviously I sent the Uber, I don’t know where to, I know I wouldn’t send it to my house, I knew where I was”

Laugh all you want. But remember, if it wasn’t for drunken miskates, most of us wouldn’t be here.

Man, I stopped reading expanded Universe pretty much after Timothy Zahn’s novels. I suspect I missed a few gems but I also read a few bad ones and it soured me. years later I’d see the penny arcade guys ranting about how awesome some new SW books were, but at that point I was too far behind.

I liked a lot of the EU material and it feels kind of shitty of them to “recanonize” some of it. Some fans of that stuff might be happy that it’s being recognized for its quality but to me it smacks of plagiarism. I know. EU is essentially high end fan fiction. Still, if you’re gonna be all “We’re doing new original

I’m not sure how you read NJO and pulled from it “The Emperor is a good guy”. It’s noted that the Emperor was trying to prevent the likes of a Vong invasion....but not once is it ever implied he wasn’t still an evil, arrogant, sith Emperor.

I must dissent. Chewbacca’s sacrifice to save Anakin Solo was a great moment in the Expanded Universe and really set the darker, unique tone that would follow during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Was that not the point of The Last Jedi, which io9 so rapturously lauds with every article? That even our heroes of old can die?

On the rare occasions I remember my dreams, I usually recollect noticing that something is strange or off, questioning it slightly and then shrugging and going with it.

Well, um, how do I explain this... he was... on the Soviet side.

One of the greatest heroes the world has ever know, rest in peace Mr. Petrov.

“He had absolutely no real evidence that this was true, but it probably saved millions of lives”

Terrible shit mostly happens when good people just stand by and do nothing. This guy didn’t do nothing. A hero’s just someone who does the right thing at the right time. RIP

Incidentally, if anyone was wondering what could have led the machines to think the US had launched? What could have killed us all?

Some clouds.

Literally, some clouds. That’s what triggered the false alarm. Like Russia was staring up at the sky and saying, “Hey, what does that cloud look like to you? Does it look like

A person who excercised common sense and rational thinking saved humanity. Build this guy a fucking statue.

Is this really such an awful thing if it means we get more Leah Remini? I mean, yeah, someone is getting fired but... c’mon, Leah Remini.

The Echo is great! But the Home sure looks better . . .

Heroes never die!
