disingenuous. no surprise.
disingenuous. no surprise.
What you call "taking into account" translates in real life to "shutting people up." Which is the one thingintersectionality, mansplaining, safe spaces, trigger warnings, microaggressions and cultural appropriation have in common.
perhaps not, but categorizing individuals based on how many boxes they can or can't tick off (e.g. black, female, gay, etc.), is. And FYI, I'm quite aware of what "racism" and "identity politics" mean.
lots of reviewers miss the "meaning" of a film; there are good and bad reviewers. there are also lots of other reviews if you think a particular one has missed the point. But none of that has anything to do with identity politics or race, and bringing those concepts into a discussion about film review is ridiculous. …
with the guillotine ready and waiting.
about bullshit you mean.
exactly.
the red guards couldn't have said it better.
maybe you should focus on your own behaviour and worry less about whether other people are terrible because they like a tv show.
oh and please indicate where I said, or for that matter MLK said, "racism doesn't exist." What a load of crap. But I guess people like you just love throwing around that racism slur whenever you read something that doesn't suit. Perhaps you should return to your safe space.
racism exists of course, but identity politics is bullshit and brings us right back to racism. ie. identity politics is racist.
the whole argument is stupid, because reviewers are not "journalists" and therefore, don't see themselves as objective. How can a movie review be objective when it's by definition someone's opinion about a movie? Finally, just to repeat the point, there's no such thing as "objective opinion." It's an oxymoron.
so much for "not the color of their skin but the content of their character." MLK would have been appalled, but then again he was a white male. No, wait………….. well, he was male.
