It’s bullshit that there has to be a Kickstarter for this. I’d much rather my tax dollars go to the Smithsonian curating a block party than another private jet and 18 holes of golf.

I am gleeful for this. I am also dreading going into my office tomorrow.

My office is behind the house in a purpose built little 25' x 25' building. Its finished, has power, cable, a mini-fridge, etc. I’m out here doing homework most every night by myself until midnight or later. AND I READ THESE DAMN STORIES ANYWAYS.

You forget about the electrical infrastructure required for that also. One house a block with an overnight charger is fine, 6 is a problem. Most cities would have to be rewired with 240/480v service drops as well as increased power consumption on an already taxed grid.

I think that should be the number one reason to not play for all kids! The risk, to me, is too great. But I’ve seen first hand how ‘locker room talk’ and behavior gets in predominately white schools here. I’d rather my kid grow up in a more diverse environment AND have full brain function.

It pains me to agree with a NR article, but they’re right (except I hate the use of ‘effeminate’ to describe a man as an implied slander, especially about a poet like Tupac).
