Considering you’re going to have to live with and look at the car for at least the next several years I’d say color is very important. Plus cars sell more easily and command higher prices in strong colors. I had a white Porsche a few years back that I had a devil of a time getting rid of, finally had to discount it

The only problem with making my Saab a daily driver is getting body parts if it ever gets hit. Not even worth getting comp and collision, the insurance company would write it off immediately and write me a tiny check for my troubles. Other than that it’s great.

Honda Element

I have more of a problem with the time drain intervals than the mileage. What if I only drive a thousand miles on my gently used Sunday driver, do I still need to change the oil every 3 months? My new Honda’s maintenance indicator is on after only 3,000 miles because it’s “time” to change the oil. It uses full

Former (thankfully short term) All Road owner. I laugh every time I see one on the road because I know the owner is probably contemplating driving off a cliff on every drive.

Disagree. Have you ever driven a G20 with a 5 speed Jason? Super fun, snick snick gear shifts, revvy 2 liter dual cam engine with a 7450 rpm redline. Lightweight, tossable, durable as hell and highly tunable both for handling and power because of the racing heritage you mentioned. Still worth a look if you can find

How much snow do you actually get in Portland, OR? If it’s just a couple of inches for a month or so then I would stick some snow tires on steel rims on the old Accord and call it a day. Otherwise I bought an XG Forester in 2010 for $3700 and sold it in 2016 for $3100, never gave me any trouble and ran it through 6

You of course realize your state legislature just approved an increase in the California gasoline excise tax to 41.7 cents per gallon. That plus the 2.25% gasoline sale tax puts around 50 cents a gallon in the state’s pocketbook every time you fill up. The increased taxes are supposed to improve roads and create

Made the mistake of taking my brand new black car through the automatic brushless car wash a few years back. Had to pay a detailer several hundred dollars to remove all the clear coat scratches afterwards. Never again, I won’t even send my old beater through the automated paint scratcher anymore. Hand wash it

My friend used to call the Paseo a chick car. I would never call it a chick car because calling it a chick car is sexist. But I did notice that most of the drivers behind the wheel of Paseos were women. But I would never call it a chick car.

California last January. I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat.

2005 Saab 9-2x. Subaru all wheel drive plows through the worst Sierra blizzards.

I think driving most older cars does not make you look rich. Certainly anything highly modified with a massive wing, after market side skirts and bling bling alloys is going to make you look like a 16 yo high schooler not Bill Gates.

I think most older cars don’t make people think ooh you’re rich, they just look like old cars no matter how much they originally cost. Having said that I picked up a super clean and tidy Saab 9-2x last year that people sometimes think is a brand new car. It doesn’t feel out of place in even the wealthiest chicest

Is that better team in the better city Miami? Have you been to Miami in July?Or Marlins Stadium ever?

If anyone over at Velocity has any brains they will give Mr. Edd China his own show and give him full creative control. I’m sure whatever he comes up with will be twice as interesting and popular as the failed remains of Wheeler Dealer.

This was easily the best show on Velocity. I’ve been a fan since series 1, since before Velocity was Velocity and the show was being broadcast on the Speed Channel. It has grown over the years from what looked like just a couple of guys who loved buying, fixing and selling old clunkers from the 70's and 80's out of a
