A reduction in piracy won’t = an increase in sales. it’ll just result in less games being played by pirates.
It’s a real shame that the series that popularized FPSs has sunk to the point where they need to use such lame looking cover art in order to catch the eyes of your average CoDbro.
Have you considered “enjoyment”?
I am a PC gamer. However, much of the time, I prefer playing with a controller... it is simple, easy and I can sit back on my couch and play on a 60+ inch screen rather than a 27'’ one with no problems.
This guy is a class act. Admitting mistakes, providing real answers and encouraging refunds. If only AAA developers worked this way. Can you imagine if EA pulled the latest Sim City because it was broken and encouraged refunds?
Seriously Cawthon gets all of my praise for this.
Dang... how much money is Cawthorne making on the FNAF franchise that he can justify giving potentially months more time to refine this game, then also give it away for free at the end? I’m happy to see his dedication to his fans, though I do hope he doesn’t put himself (and his family) in any financial strain with…
You said it well enough yourself, fan of the series or not, Cawthon is a very human developer who at least gives a shit.
I knew that one was the winner the second I saw it. Had me laughing just too, too much. Grats winners and runners-ups.
They should hire David Hayter ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Not that I’m an expert on this, but Denuvo seems like the second coming of StarForce, which if I recall delayed any pirated version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for 6 months. But it did fall, in the end, and became irrelevant. So I have my doubts that someone won’t find the key to Denuvo, that anti-piracy measures…
It has never been proven (yet) with definitive facts that piracy has an overall positive or negative effect on the economy of any digital medium, especially not the economic success of a video game. Whether it has a real efect on the economy currently largely depends on which side of the argument you are and who did…
I am not in my late teens or early twenties, have a great job and healthcare and a fairly good amount of fuck-around money every month and I would not be able to justify spending $600 on this thing. And I have thrown money at all sorts of experimental crap.
Found this quote thanks to this tweet. It’s from an AllThingsD interview with Oculus founder Palmer Luckey in 2013.…
Welp, guess I’ll buy one on eBay after people lose interest in it.
I'm glad I worked today. I would've been pissed my GMP would've been in the red for MGS V: TPP.
Yomawari is by far the one I want most. I only have a very few titles for my Vita, but this feels like it would be a fun addition. ^_^
There is a difference between a tool which can kill someone but which has other purposes, and one which is good for nothing but killing people.
