That's no reason to assume he's "trolling". If you're wrong, even slightly, you could very well be the reason he takes his life simply because you felt that there was a "chance" that he (harmlessly, might I add) wanted attention.

This is the main issue, but a modern console tailored to Digital Distribution would, for the sake of good business, have a hard drive capable of storing it all.
PC gaming has already reached this point, and 5GB is nothing :P In fact here in the UK it seems the last of our High Street retailers that really stock PC games are going out of business. I wouldn't be surprised by this at all, especially with how Steam has proven how effective the model can be.
And I only just bought Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 from GoG during that sale :(
