I think it's weird that uber Catholic Josh is getting married outside of the Church.

Speaking as someone who loves musicals more than almost anything: I think my issue with this movie is that it's supposed to be a "love letter" to old Hollywood musicals, but it seems cynical and ashamed of them at the same time. Which would probably be fine in and of itself, but it seems like every modern musical…
Or American Dad, even.
IMO, this just felt like the Simpsons trying so hard to be relevant. Also, the voice actors sounded really off to me tonight.
There actually is one that's an extension for Google Chrome, but it crashes a lot.
She has a pretty voice but she's ruined/is still ruining it with her bad singing technique.
The Village Voice's review was absolutely BRUTAL, if you want to check that out.
Apparently Ed Norton is also Keira Knightley's love interest. That's a sixteen year age gap.
Wait, so that's the storyline? You wouldn't know it from the trailers I've seen. Good Lord.
At first I was like "ugh," but I do like Shaiman's scores…
It's pretty common to love a show based only on the cast recording.
I just saw her in Amelie in LA and she pretty much lights up the stage.
I'm a huge musical theatre fan and even I'm sick of it. Especially because the current season on Broadway looks super fantastic and I wish people would talk about that more now.
As I mentioned above, what made it worse for me is that the creatives/cast spent the entire season trying to convince us that the mother wasn't going to die. It felt like a betrayal to me because they pretty much lied about it.
Yup. I used to be able to watch HIMYM episodes whenever they were on TV, or put it on Netflix when I wanted to watch something light and humorous. Not anymore!
But the actors/creative team were going around saying "oh, that fan theory that the mother dies, how stupid is that." What were fans supposed to think?
I wish Pasek and Paul had composed the songs instead of just writng the lyrics. But I'll still see this.
I like Kate Winslet's storyline, but not Cameron Diaz's storyline.
But is the Inner Goddess in this one??
Yeah, I thought it was super fakey that the UK was so happy about ruined diplomatic relations with the US. I hate that movie, too, for so many reasons.
