I grew up with Spaceballs and loved it without having ever seen Star Wars (which I finally saw a few years ago).

It's a little too gross for me at times, but it has some great moments.
That's probably on the actors' contracts, too.
Slow West?
Yes! I can see it in LA! Also, AV Club, I wish you'd report this much on other shows.
I have to admit that although I've been a Greg/Rebecca shipper, last night's episode moved me a little towards Josh. I thought that he was too warm and fuzzy for her, but maybe that's really what she needs. The only thing is they don't have a lot in common other than loving West Covina.
I am a bit concerned that the next episode apparently deals with bitchy mean girls, too. I mean yeah, that is something women deal with, but it's not the only interactions we have.
My husband remarked earlier that I was Rebecca, and I fervently denied it. But after she became the seventh wheel and was leaning in on White Josh and Darryl's conversation like she was part of it, which I have done a gazillion times, I said "Okay, yeah, I guess I am her."
I don't know much about acting, so can you give an example of when her acting was tonally off key? I'm curious.
And I doubt you'll ever see the equivalent happen with a male actor (in which a younger actor is cast in an older role).
Apparently though she loves Gareth more?
I'm a huge musical theatre buff and I wasn't at all reminded of "What Is this Feeling." I thought more of Lin Manuel Miranda.
I hope not. Richard being the One True King alone is reason enough to come back for a third season.
I'm super intrigued by Madalena's development in the show. She says that the feelings she's having are totally new, so does that mean she never felt anything at all for Galavant? I wonder if she was just with him because she thought it was the best she could do as a peasant.
Which retcons were those?
Edit: All of the quotes I would have said were already used. Bravo, AV Club commentators.
I wish they'd have done a version of Citizen Kane where his last word is "schwing"
Or (Rapidly Declining in Quality), perhaps.
With classic reviews ending, I will never have the opportunity to discuss with my fellow Simpsons aficionados whether or not El Tango de La Muerte was an homage to Strictly Ballroom. So I'll bring it up in this comment!
He does that in all of his novels, haha.
