Plus he mentions that the Capitol killed his family and his girlfriend because of what he pulled in the arena.

They'd probably have to be about the previous champions.
I was actually thinking that there are a lot of secondary characters whose backstories I'd love to read about or watch. Like Finnick, Annie, and Haymitch. Beeta would also be interesting. Or any of the people who defected from the Capitol.
I think another point is that Bart isn't really good at much, so when he finds something that he excels at it means a lot to the audience. So for me this episode is kind of like, let him have it, Lisa.
She Loves Me!
Oh my God, if they did Aida I'd be sooo happy.
There's actually research showing that suicide rates are lower in states with more gun control.
Yeah, I'm glad that it was helpful for you and I'm completely for improved access and reduced stigma overall. I just don't think it's the magic bullet that people claim it is with regards to increasing public safety. Especially since, like I said, we're notoriously bad at predicting violence because it's such a low…
Right, but placing the burden on mental health professionals to screen will be difficult because 1. We'll have to make a lot of false positives or else we could indirectly kill someone and 2. People will NOT seek MH treatment or disclose problems if they think their guns could get taken away.
As someone who works in mental health, this solution won't work. It's too hard to predict violence.
So are they not setting this in Thailand then? Because that's an awfully white cast.
I love Scrubs but the growing prominence of the Janitor throughout the seasons really irked me. Probably because I greatly disliked his character.
In all fairness, JD was pretty cute and he was a doctor. It's not as unbelievable as other TV shows.
Malcolm in the Middle?
They also had Elliott and JD grow up and mature to the point where it was believable that this time the relationship wouldn't crash and burn.
I remember Stephen Moyer's weird portrayal of Captain von Trapp.
She has some super problematic thoughts that I think are helping to maintain her depression, which a good therapist could help her address. But of course she needs motivation to engage in treatment, and therein is the rub.
She was snorting an ADHD med, though, not an anti-depressant. I find it unrealistic that during this storyline no one has even mentioned Gretchen trying therapy or meds. Maybe she has tried it before, but Jimmy or Edgar wouldn't know that.
I was hoping Vern, a doctor, might have mentioned something. Or Edgar, but I guess he's wrapped up in his own life right now.
Honestly, at this point I don't even think Gretchen has the energy to attempt suicide.
