the art is a tough one.. some of the backgrounds are farely pretty, but the main character sprites are painful when you're running around. The story while good, is really slow. If you're afraid of it, maybe try ff9.

I didn't feel that pom poko was sadder than grave of the fireflies. I mean.. it had some sadness to it.. but it wasn't heart wrenching.
Also, it's pacing was horrible... It felt like I would've appreciated it more if they made it into like 12 different shorts all with the same focus.

the fireworks in ff13 really annoyed me. Given, there were plenty of things in the game that I didn't like.. but that whole cutscene chase was completely out of place.. I had no idea why that cutscene even needed to exist.
