Very good point. in the 5 year Nu52 timeline it doesn't work…in the restored 10 year Rebirth it's back to working, but they pretty much just mumble when they get to that part of her origin these days.

It's interesting, actually that she was a pretty ground breaking character at the time, esp for mainstream comics. Now, she's almost a cliche.

I recall her having a mental breakdown and leaving acting*. She came back for the finale, iirc.
