Even if you consider main roads, 22.8 miles is nothing.
According to google, re-paving a 4 lane road costs roughly $1.25 million per mile. That’s 22.8 miles PER YEAR that could be replaced. Yet, our roads are so shitty the city won’t even plow them.
Hear, hear! But we all know who the brodozer population voted for, and we all know how that guy is with regards to taxes.
The fact that the public is gobbling up these things at such a rate is really just proof that gas is too cheap - now is the time to hike gas taxes and actually fix our goddamn crumbling roads.
Don’t forget to be sad that courts give them protective orders that let them hide their misconduct from the public and regulators, and that therefore they can keep engaging in the same misconduct in case after case after case and nobody can do anything about it for years or decades.
