Crazy thing is how perverse it is. The obvious reason for the lower tax bill is for stock buybacks, which drive up stock prices. That is typically tied to stock bonuses and executive compensation (so they have every incentive to pump and dump). Add this with legalized insider trading for congressional politicians, and

Everyone else: Let’s ground on an abundance of caution until we get to the bottom of this.

One can argue that with 40K people dying a year in them, cars do not work properly in critical situations.

I absolutely agree with you here, but people make those choices every day when buying a vehicle with optional safety features. Most cars on the road charge alot for lifesaving options including automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist. These features have been studied (by the IIHS/HDLI) that can potentially

Or....I would say that this is one of few case where insurance companies should be allowed to be exempt from covering an individual.

Well, you got your democracy vouchers in the mail already.  use them.

Or maybe growth is just slowing from the previous breakneck pace. But, traffic on Mercer will still continue to suck.

That’s where I see Tesla ending up. Tesla’s patents are good, but that’s good for now (this generation). And also A123, LG Chem, AESC, and a bunch of others also are huge battery patent holders too in this field.

I have 2 MBs with the Distronic Plus, and the logos are obnoxiously large and plasticy looking. But, most folks are surprised to know that they have a sensor suite hidden underneath. The dead giveaway of some stripdown model is that it’s not a solid MB emblem up front (that and the lack of 2 cameras a-la Eyesight on

The presumption is that those rolling stocks will be already engineered and being manufactured and then the carmakers just switch from a 3rd party supplier OEM mfgr to a partner ODM model like what Tesla is doing. the Gigafactory’s only unique aspect is that the scale is so big. But, the business structure and mfg

Ultimately that’s just a cap equipment bottleneck that Tesla has an advantage on. Unless they have some how magically secured raw materials futures in perpetuity, they will have to compete on the spot market sooner or later.  Their competitive advantage ends the instant another company builds their own battery supply

You can also get a good deal if you have a Daimler supplier discount (some companies have it) that allows you to get some cars at a good price. I got a GLC at a touch below invoice in the 1st year it came out.

A 10k-15k new car can pass safety regs (think cheapest Nissan or a mitsu mirage) with a backup camera and 6 airbags.  I don’t think that’s the problem.

I think companies are approaching this problem the wrong way.   Self driving cars will need infrastructure improvements to fully work in all situations. These vehicles would never truly become successful until there are in road markers or beacons and a standardized form of v2v and v2i communication in place.

M’Bollard

it looks like camouflaged panels with fake contours.  The light cluster looks circular underneath

It’s a big medical issue, esp for those with undiagnosed sleep apnea and other ailments

I worked at a well known publicly traded company that paid me only once a month.  It also might be monthly pay.

Did they rectify it?

Doesn’t explain the price difference between that and the other Texas cooler company RTIC, except that RTIC is a technically proficient knockoff.
