I used to live in that area and own homes there still so I’m pretty familiar with that flyover. It’s the fastest way from Mountain View Costco back to our house near Los altos.

Dude, the previous crash happened less than 24 hours earlier and was scheduled to be replaced that day. Given that the likelihood that a crash attenuator gets hit twice in 24 hours is infinitesimally small, there is likely a very weak case for claiming negligence

So it’s a hatchback with no windows behind the c pillar. That’s gonna be a massive blind spot (although it seems like a common trend these days). The only thing that is more irritating than the floating C / D pillar are faux windows

I wonder too. MVFD is an extremely well funded and well trained, and also trained in dealing with car fires and electric vehicles (Teslas are the car of choice in MTV) They still had to contact Tesla in this case.

Mercedes system with cameras do that too.

Those are engineered Crash attenuators. I believe those are designed to take an impact at 65mph+. Hit it wrong though, and it can be a risk.

Yeah, you failed history class.

The Uber system utilizes LIDAR sensors along with cameras and radar. The person should’ve been detected hundreds of feet away.

There was actually a study that found out that it takes about 2x the time to rouse a driver from inattention vs manual driving. If the autonomous system isn’t foolproof, the safety operator needs to be at full attention.

The Levorg is sold in Taiwan, which is LHD and has similar emissions and safety laws as California and the US respectively. This shouldn’t be hard to federalize except by SOA’s wishes.

Hey, windows phone was actually a pretty good OS.

They have to pay server, network, and license fees yah ignorant turd

Well, Trump’s whole “run into the school” was spoken by him and repeated verbatim, and I’m pretty sure he would ban that quote now if he could

Obxt I had regularly got 15-17 mixed city/ highway. It was an awesome car though

Duh. Everyone knows MIATA means:

My negative on the alphard is because I like to splay out, and this has the economy class first row handles syndrome, and the alphard and its seats are even narrower than the Sienna.

I also recommend the 2nd row of an executive minivan. Think buick gl8, Mercedes V class, or a nice high end sienna. It is best to be driven in comfort AND space.

Wow. Having grown up like that family in the video in the 240 wagon(and later, an 850) going to Tahoe, that really hit the feels.

Since it’s based off the new insignia, how European does it feel?
