I'm just wondering. What do you guys at the writing/editorial staff think of Autoblog? I'm just curious because I read both regularly.

How do most swedes think about volvo now owned by Geely?

Just coming back from chile and Argentina, I was coming here to post the same thing. Plus a smattering of minor Chinese cars and secondary Korean brands, along with the weird mix of US, JP, KR and European cars. I saw a lot of Chevy traverses there too

That cannot be stressed enough. Ford raped volvo of its tech and platforms.

Every time someone here brings this type of video up as a counterpoint, I always wonder if they posted this to their MySpace page that's playing nickel back in the background. Since the last bad test in 2010, the Chinese government has shamed local automakers into making "safer" cars

That'd be the equiv of a 35mph into a fixed barrier

Last I checked, you can still get a 335xi and a 435xi in 6MT.

The flow of traffic will always be opposite of the machine. If you watch the video, you can see that a car won't hit it unless it was driving the wrong way

The fatality figures only paint a partial story. It doesn't describe the frequent head on collisions that almost always require extensive extrication (let alone life-changing disabilities that come from it) and the shutdown of a major artery.

I bet you it was Peter Schreyer. HIs comments would be justified.

My first Chinese car experience was driving the Chevrolet sail in Chile last week. Overall, a pretty enjoyable drive that's a 20 year blast to the past.

That's nice. Subaru Japan was pushing this car to SOA, And fucking SOA said no

I know, but nowhere near available in the US.

Can you get an LR4 in diesel? I'm serious

That shit happens all over in Argentina, and not just with some small time guys. My hertz rental was cancelled in less than 24 hours prior to arrival, and without recourse.

You will find like 5-10 Fiskers behind Palo Alto Volvo, behind the Walgreens:

For a second, I thought it was a slightly distorted V60. So pretty nonetheless.
