Why not? Not any more annoying than someone who carries pillows with them on flights.

There's a blue v60 polestar in NJ. I'd snatch it if it was 7k cheaper (55k)

I'm willing to take compromises. The last volvo dealer convention, they already stated that the v90 and/or v90 Cross Country will come. That'll make me happy enough

To be fair, even the Chinese don't want those cars

This totally sucks, because

To be honest, VA's econ isn't very good for red-eye sleeping.

Newsflash: Americans think they love gypsy cabs, find out that they really don't.

This whole brouhaha is indicative of the American culture. The general public expresses easy outrage at a trivial matter as "disrespect" while turning a blind eye to the fact that we systematically under pay, take advantage, and shortchange our most foundational public servants.

Because you think that engineers will plan smartly enough that they won't leave zero buffer space on the sides of the lanes. 10 ft lanes DOES NOT EQUAL 10 feet of concrete + walls on each side.

Well, that's why people usually pull over for fire trucks. Besides, there are civil engineering rules that dictate how wide a paved road surface should be and how wide a lane should be. You can still design lanes to be 10 feet wide, and have it accommodate fire trucks.

People still won't give a fuck about others, but at least they will slow down in the interest of self preservation due to the perceived inherent danger.

I think "2 Wheels awesome!" is being sarcastic here. Nobody can possibly be that stupid in real life.

so, you're assuming that all roads will have these walls on both sides of each lane? And when you drive out of that invisible line, that these trucks will crash? In many urban areas where there are smaller lanes, the fire trucks already do just fine. They're usually more dense, so the fire stations are already

Counterpoint:

They'll do fine in a 10 foot lane.

Or, maybe they would do less of those things because of the newly perceived danger associated with a narrower lane. The wider lanes is what allows them to pull that sort of shitshow stunts.

I guess the Falkland wars are raw to some, and hilarious to others. Just like 9/11, Crimea or Palestine; it's all about perspective and context.
