Interestingly, that's how they (the NHTSA) calculate "outliers". Their rates much be much higher than the rest of the industry to even warrant this.

Isn't that the point?
As a Subaru owner, I wouldn't purchase any current Subaru cars right now. They dont have enthusiast cars anymore; maybe except for the WRX, STI, Forrester XT, maybe the BRZ.
And yet toyota's crap lineup gets glossed over......
Yeah. the 2014 is Direct Injected Turbo. True it's a CVT, and it's only 250/250 for the hp and torque. But it's the same engine and drivetrain used in the DiT Legacys in Japan (so it can theoretically go up to 295bhp). The block is the same as the BRZ, but with the turbo plumbing, and will be the one used in the…
Toyota is still boring. that FR-S/GT86 is still a Subaru. It's even mfgd @ a subaru plant.

They've already stated that the new XC90 will be revealed beginning of 2014. That means, design probably already started back in 2011-12.
It's going on their scalable platform architecture, which probably pushed out many model redesigns by a year or two.
I was just speccing out an XC70 T6 AWD. Turbo inline 6, AWD , 325bhp/354 lb.-ft? That's a tempting combo even w/ the Auto trans.
Their talking cars episodes are interesting to listen to.
Costco has it for the same price.

As a side issue: Why do people constantly complain about Yahoo's no telecommuting policy? It's sort of de rigueur in most silicon valley companies, Facebook and Google included.
He's just ragin' because he saw the Solyndra building right after he got cut off. Misappropriated rage, that's all. That being said, my wife and I are talking about dashcams for our cars. She drives that route every day, and tells me that there are some crazy East-Bay drivers there...
