Who designed it, and thought "Hey, it'd be good to cover up both plugs"? It needs to only over one plug, and add USB functionality. Or, if it covers 2 plugs, at least allow a pass through for both plugs (maintain switch functionality and 2 socket functionality)

Too bulky. Doesn't seem very "international"

The designers probably didn't have old white folks in mind.

I need to correct you guys:

Waiting with one with cellular radio built in.

World's highest bridge. The Si Du He bridge

probably not a steering issue. Sounds like the Stability control gyroscopes started failing and activating while the person driving.

Did A Dealer Ignore A Faulty, Dangerous BMW?

The bigger problem is how we have designed our lives (driving to the gym to get exercise), communities (suburban McMansion hellholes), infrastructures and societies around the automobile.

Remind me not to drive to alaska with my car. The engine and boost gets retarded by the ECU if the fuel is bad or if the mix changes (summer vs. winter fuel). It's mildly finnicky, but it's fun as hell.

Awesome shot. Is that a Forester 2.5xt? Got an Outback 2.5xt here rocking the 4 wheel drifts in the snowy fields (though not this year, with our dismal drought-inducing lack of rainfall)

AWD only helps you go. It doesn't overcome physics.

On the highway, you're going the speed that should allow you to avoid accidents. If the "car came out of nowhere", then you're either not paying attention to your surroundings and what's happening for the next 400 feet, or you had impaired visibility for the next 400 feet. The speed limit is just a guideline in

Yeah....except for the fact that I drive in conditions when feet of snow are falling every hour (not foot) on 6% grades in high elevations during blizzards with snow tires, . I've even driven when Caltrans requires 4wd/AWD WITH chains (R3 conditions), and the area is closed off to all but local residents. I keep

You know how he was going too fast? He crashed. That's the only qualifier you need.

Absolutely.....but this is why there are 100 car pileups in the fog.....and reiterates the fact that Proper defensive driving is proper defensive driving.

When i meant "conservative", I meant worst case scenario. But you're absolutely correct. The only time you can go 70 on snow safely is in the straight with visibility and no cars for about 1500 feet.

BTW, I mostly agree with that. My sister and her family lives in Tahoe, and I honestly believe that people who live up there are just as well acclimated. The problem is all the other idiot folks from San Francisco who try to pull the shit you're talking about.

That is exactly the guideline with driving in snow. You have to give a conservative estimated guess where you can stop based on speed and conditions, and you have prepare to do it at any given moment.
