Yeah, not much aside from, you know, a Balkans war, a Gulf war, Rwandan genocide, Sierra Leon civil war, Russian conflicts with Chechnya, war in the Congo, the Santa Cruz Massacre of Timorese and a horrible recession in the antipodes that made my life hell, to name but a few. Certainly nothing for people to get

Except that he more or less didn't. Give me Link Wray, The Sonics or The Stooges any day of the week. I just ain't buying what Lou's selling. Sorry.

Sharing the laughter and love.

I'm sure he'd appreciate it. He seemed to treat everyone else with the same contempt.

I have a feeling Lou is out there in the ether somewhere, refusing to leave and telling disembodied spirits to find him wine and cigarettes. He can hear me.

Lou, I really did try, but sorry, I've never understood what all the fuss was about.

Speaking of haunting, autumnal 90s songs…Grant Lee Buffalo's Mockingbirds just popped into my head for some reason.

As a public service announcement, I feel I need to make C+H fans aware of Michael Leunig. Go to google images and search for 'Leunig'. The man has a beautiful mind and IMHO is one of Australia's living national treasures.

That was indeed an outstanding episode. The new season needs to pull something new out of the hat soon. Can't say I'll stay for many more episodes at the current rate.

I've been a fan of this show since it started, but this season feels like interns are writing the new episodes. Trite dialogue, face palm inducing stupidity in the action scenes and a weak infection plot line.

A retired cop in the Pacific Northwest who finds himself surrounded by brutal murders and mysterious happenings…..uuumm…this show already aired in the late 90s and was called Millennium.

I’ll just say one word: ‘Icarus’. If you get it, great. If you don’t, that’s fine too. But you should probably read more.

So our kid was like "I saw one of them ufo things above the Curry Mile man. It was all hoverin' like. Nearly dropped me chips and all."

I've often wondered why he's insisted on working with a fairly pedestrian rockabilly band in his post-Smiths career.

"Ok, so Morrissey is out…we need someone else with a quiff…stat!"

When I clicked the link I thought it might be a high concept cover band focused on Nick Cave's The Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party era.
