Who thinks an american would have admitted it was their own fault?
Any takers?
Welcome to Pissing Contest, a weekly story sharing circle for the the ass-draggiest time of the afternoon on the…
I read this story off of a reddit link, and a lot of people also came to her defense in keeping the car. The fact is, a known vehicle with a known maintenance history is a relatively smart decision over selling and getting a possible clunker. Controlling risk is just as important as controlling finances.
Did you get lost on your way to the BBC website? Or do you just REALLY, REALLY like Forrest Gump?
I watched this movie every day after school in 5th grade and listened to the soundtrack a trillion times, as well. It remained a favorite all through middle and high school. I watched it again as an adult in my late 20s and the charm really did fade for me over time. Now, in my 30s, I doubt I could watch it all the…
OK, just to be clear.
Arguably, it shouldn't be their responsibility, your whole tipping culture* is utterly ridiculous. Nobodies wage should depend on someone elses whim.
I'm not American and have never seen this image before (although being Canadian, I've at least heard of the disaster). Given that the poster was also not American, it's pretty egocentric to assume the entire world will recognize every image considered iconic to you. Other countries have their own historical disasters…
I think this has to do much more that it was an international employee posted this rather than them being a millennial. Growing up in South America, I *may* have heard about the Challenger disaster only in passing. I went to the international school and my mom is American which increases the chance of potentially…
You did catch the international bit, yes? Living as an expat, I've discovered you really can't take for granted what (even incredibly intelligent) people do and do know about events around the globe. As a Canadian, I have heard of the disaster even though I was at the ripe old age of 1 when it occurred. However, I…
They say it's an international employee as well, which explains it more. Also, millennials still know about history, but you have to remember as more time goes on and more and more events pile up, things that were a BIG deal at the time often become a blip on the historical radar later, and niche history for people…
Dang. 1991 here, and I could see myself doing the same thing. I know OF the challenger disaster, but I've never seen photos or footage. I wouldn't post it publicly - you've always got to check sources and photo credits to post publicly- but I could totally see me printing out a pic for my company's in office…
Ah, you linked to yesterday's article. The Mirror had another one today. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/m…
This summary leaves out a detail from the Mirror article, which is that the girl understood she would win a free holiday for doing this. And then "holiday" was the name of the drink. That is fucked up.
Sometimes I'm insecure that my sex game is not up to world class standards. I am not the most experienced cock-sucker in the land. But I believe firmly in quality over quantity. Also, I was surprised how it seemed some of these men were prettty reluctant to get their man-bits out.
One criterion for news is that it is unusual. Most of humanity is as horrified as we are. Don't be embarrassed — this is truly, unusually cruel and evil.
The fact that this guy seems to be a monster doesn't change the fact that people who have caused their children's deaths accidentally have my sympathy. Poor them, I stand by that.
Thanks for basically ruining my weekend with this story. Leaving now to take my kids for as much ice cream as they can eat until they barf. Big hugs for them. They are the light of my life.
Completely missed flying in to Marseilles and just assumed it was Portugal because of the hilly stone streets (which I am now realizing could very well be many other places in Europe). Good, because I want to be annoyed as much as possible by that story line so I'm glad I now have another reason! I'm getting married…
