OMG I am none of the above in relation to being a woman. I must be a man.

To be fair, all singing on film is usually lipsynched since they need to do multiple takes and it's too hard to sync (that's why Le Mis was so unusual in having them sing live). I found this out when a soap star was doing an interview about the potential they'd sing on the show and they pointed out the technical…
Do you use it now though? I'm no genius (though I was top of my school through a bit of genetic luck and a lot of hard work) and it took me years into uni to stop dumbing down. Now I don't really care, if it's the right word or reference it's the right one. But it took ages.
Reminds me of Jane Austen's advice to her niece: "write what you know".
I actually think Gilmore Girls was pretty good in this respect (and Paris was a brilliant character who could only have existed in private school). I'd mention Gossip Girl but obviously that is more problematic given it was a teen soap.
I was so happy when I first saw this:
There was an in-depth interview in a NZ mag with her and it sounds as if she is pretty much in control: excerpt http://metroarts.co.nz/music/lorde-st…
I hated the gay wedding, but Liza was so wonderfully camp I couldn't hate her.
Yeah there's only one reason to watch SATC (and it's at the beginning so you can stop)
*unfollows @Carrie_Br4dshaw, follows @SATC3quel instead*
Screw Rory, what about Lorelai? How the hell did someone who ran a small inn and was estranged from her well-off parents never wear the same thing twice?
Yeah, shows how designers can't deal with unusually shaped women :( If it had been fitted better it'd have been amazing!
When I was at high school, my reading room teacher recommended Cross Stitch to all the girls. Of course I got hooked. It did get awkward when Diana Galadron came to the nearest city to do a book signing and as we were going to be there at the time, my sister and I begged my mother to let us go … and gave her the books…
I've only come to this now re Gilbert's upcoming novel, but I have to at least give her a pass on the whole visa-marriage thing. I'd actually say that visas are perhaps one of the last bastions of practical reasons to marry. I've known of two people marry their girlfriends so as to either stay in the country (one was…
Hell to the yes. Just watching these sections, she's working the hell out of what his horrific setups. Can we just have a cut which doesn't have the men in it?
Ah, Noel Fielding <3
Is it just me or is Russell Brand a lot better in writing than in person? He's a stiff actor most of the time (though brilliant in Get Him To The Greek) but I have to give him full props for some of the pieces he's written for the Grauniad.
Can I just say I love Cher? She may be plastic-surgeried to the point of being non-human, but she's always been refreshingly free of media-training BS.
'Unbelievably twee'? I will not stand for this, Emily Blunt is AMAZING
