ICE could have just as easily have said, “Undocumented immigrants who are engaged in criminal activities will be deported,” and it would have done the trick. This was overkill.

I’ve crossed the border in Texas and CA. Both times my interactions were with latino looking border patrol officers. I’d imagine those guys already know their wife is sleeping with a latino guy.

The goal of ICE is to motivate them to leave. I am pretty sure telling them they are a target is the appropriate motivation for that goal.
