No, I'm saying that language morphs over time. Nouns get verbed, which weirds language; our words rendezvous with words from other countries; people start Googling and using kleenex and eating Jell-o.

So basically, your argument is that lazy, clichéd writing is okay as long as it meets the high standards of a free online dictionary? That's cool.

I accept that. But I would argue that is not how it is most frequently used. The heart of it, for me, is that it's a lazy cliche.
