I’d give them more leeway than other devs though. With Charlie Murder and Dishwasher, Ska proved that 1) they know how to make their own brand of games that doesn’t rely on ‘coat tail riding’ to be good and 2) the kind of dark/noir/gritty/metal look that Souls games evoke is already their staple aesthetic.

I get where you’re coming from, but there are enough differences here to make it worthwhile.
