The auto has been fine for my third gen. My experience with each Tacoma gen (I had a 1st gen and now a 3rd, parents had a 2nd) suggests that they have their own unique curve; once you figure it out, you’re fine. A stick is certainly more fun though.

I can’t decide if the “TRD” and “PRO” in the headlamps is stupid or awesome.

I mean, we all know the Taco is the most archaic of the small trucks (forget the Frontier, it doesn’t count). But does anyone, and I mean anyone, really think that a new Ranger or Colorado is going be as bombproof as the Taco? Of course not.

Well when a gentle tug just makes for gentle wheel spin and no progress un-stucking a vehicle, you start taking a bit of a run at the tow strap to apply the much needed jerk force.  When that still doesn’t work, people get worked up and blast the strap like that.  Happens. all. the. time.
