Head gaskets problems are really only an issue on the NA engines, but lost compression and bearings are always a possibility on the turbo engines.

Its a manual, its an XT, no accidents, no rust, overall good condition, low miles, maintenance records.

Mods aside, you find me a rust free 2005 forester xt with 122k miles and a manual for $6,250 I’d be pretty damn interested.

Should have just bought a Toyota.

There is at least one oppo who’s had it done.  Seems pretty clean and well done.  Better than having the frame crack in half.

It looks surprisingly well done and completely useless.

can’t be a logging road. All logging roads take you to trees which only grow along straight sections of paved road, usually with other built up infrastructure like wifi

So a vehicle entirely dependent on a slew of expensive, clean, sensors to operate is going to operate in an environment full of mud, sap, bugs, and heavy equipment and general work vehicle abuse?

I saw a T/log just this morning.  Im not one to brag but it was pretty impressive.  

I wont rest easy unit it runs on trees and can feed itself.
