Honestly, those Goodyear ‘kevlar’ tires are more all-season than all-terrain. I wholeheartedly agree about the truck’s physical limitations but a set of BFG K02s, Cooper Discoverer A/T3s, or Goodyear’s own Duratracs would have helped quite a bit.

The drum brake argument is dumb. Drum brakes run cooler, need less maintenance and don’t freaking warp all the time. Good engineered Toyota drums have tons of braking power. The Tacoma stops better than the Colorado.
