Pretty common in rally navs as well, something about reading pacenotes while flying down the road.. Plus built race cars usually put the navi seat down and back for weigh balance.

Usually the problem with rear underneath is exit angle,as tires get bigger they take more and more room. Also being at the back they get all the spray/gunk/junk off the tires.

I prefer the Wreck Trek version where they use lug bolts through the body panels and roof;

In Aircooleds it make sense because weight balance, added safety, it’s a trunk, plus washer sprayers!

There are many types of safety razor.. Gillette Fatboys or Slims are adjustable.. Or there are the Red and Blue tips.
