I’ve grown to love anthologies and graphic novels. If you read Joss Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men as a stand alone title, you’ll have a great time. If you read any good writer/artist team’s run as a stand alone, you’ll really enjoy it. Skip the continuity of it all.
