Did I say that? No, Skyrim your Hogwarts if you want. But when you need to make public excuses as to why you should be *allowed* to play Harry Potter? Might as well buy a billboard that says you have thin skin and loose morals, and those are the types that fall for the siren’s song of the alt-right. But hey, glad I

...it’s a little strange to me why this merger has gotten so much scrutiny while others haven’t.

Not buying the game is easy. Giving money to a good cause is hard.”

Newman!

Not sure about Seinfeld, but David Letterman is the first comedic David that comes to mind.

So this nonsense is funnier than Arrested Development, Peep Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community, etc? Or, what’s more likely, you wouldn’t be able to identify what’s funny to save your life.

laughed more than I have at 30 minutes of “written” comedy in ages”

I despise EA as much as the next guy, but this article comes off as actively upset at this Remake. So thanks for wasting everyone’s time, and spoiling plot points for the new players, cause this article seems to have been written purely to get clicks.

Put in a SPOILER WARNING. Not everyone has played or seen this game or knows what to expect. Spoiling what is going on with Nicole can ruin someone’s $60 new game experience.

This review is kind of amazing in a “how did this ever get published?” kind of way. Between the blatant major spoilers, gender hate, misspelling the main characters name (“Issac”), and being done by somebody that didn’t even play the original for comparison, it’s uhhhh, interesting to say the least...

Well, considering new people are constantly entering this world, rather than us all being the same constant pool of immortals, I think spoiler warnings are warranted in just about every case.

Irritated the shit outta me, at least. I was reading to see if it was worth upgrading to the new version or just playing an old copy of the original that I already have, but either way the plot point is spoilt for someone who was just looking for a recommendation.

Since when did game reviews, old or new, find it

Yah, pretty crappy putting a spoiler that big in a review. I know it’s an old game, but lots of people jump into remakes when they didn’t play the original. What a strange sounding review as well, don’t agree with a single complaint, this game improves in the original in every way, and I MUCH prefer him having

Considering a spoiler warning takes effort bordering so close to zero there is no meaningful distinction, a spoiler warning is always merited.

I was thinking that as well. Also it seemed as though the reviewer had seen several playthroughs of the original (or speedruns) on Youtube, and basically knew everything about it except how it felt to play.
She spoils the story, the secret behind the mystery that makes the first half scary. And also Nicole.. Kinda

They definitely should have had a spoiler warning, at least.

I’m legitimately curious about something. What is the statute of limitations for a spoiler on a 15 year old game?

Needlessly spoiling the plot of a game in its review, even if it’s a remake of a 15 year old game, is certainly a choice.
