He didn’t mean they sound like Talking Heads. Just that they hit some of the same touchpoints. Especially making something that might be called “dance music” that is actually interesting.

Totally correct. One of the best bands of from 2005-2010. Sound of Silver and This Happening are two of the best albums of those five years.

That is my favorite song by them but certainly not the only great one. Try Dance Yourself Clean, All I Want, Home, Someone Great, All My Friends, Get Innocuous, Losing My Edge, and of course New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down.

My favorite LCD song. The Joy Division-y guitar part from 5:33 to 6:05 still gives me chills.
