Tav, I love what you do, but after digging a little deeper it seems this particular example was a bit of an anomaly. Perhaps because it is in Germany. Looks like all of the others currently for sale on eBay (I did not look at other sites) all start at mid $60s and up. Still reasonable value, but whomever snatched this…

The truth is out there

It’s actually a brilliant piece of aerodynamics. Aero is black magic, but from my understanding, that rise in the center allows for air to pass under the car and feed the downforce producing diffuser in back, and also probably helps reduce the buildup of air in front that’s not being funneled around the sides.
