Carol Queen is such a saint, yet unfortunately, I doubt she would be able to have any sway. Her involvement in employee relations is nil.
Fwiw, Good Vibrations corporatized several years ago, and treats their retail employees like dirt.
The harassment that GV employees deal with is identical to what this article states- “problematic customers” who aren’t really customers at all, coming into the store with terrible boundary issues. I have a few horror stories from working there, the worst being spit at and threatened with physical violence.
Good Vibes is such a punishing company to work for now. Employees have requested increased security several times after incidents of harassment and assault, and all we ever heard was “The company can’t afford it.” So much turnover because being spit at or groped isn't worth the shit pay.
