What you see with this is similar to the Souls series; people love mystery. This isn’t a matter of pure marketing but something inherent to the game design itself, and the way the series is approached in general.

He’s always been very, very vague about this series. The third game had a sense of finality to it, but Scott has never come forward to say “Hey guys, this is it, thanks for the ride.” The fact that he’s pretty private and doesn’t use social media definitely compounds the situation.

I actually liked Hot Fuzz a lot better than Shaun of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead is great, but ... Hot Fuzz!

I would easily call all 3 “Cornetto” movies masterpieces, but Hot Fuzz was always my favorite one personally.

“This franchise has used the same jump-scare gimmick over and over, with very little gameplay or game assets...”

honestly while people came for the helarious scarecams, people stayed for the very well done hidden story. news paper clippings detailing things that happened in the past, several small, subtle things that tell a sad story. thats actually the key phrase, subtlety. not many games do that right when it comes to story

I easily got $60 worth out of the game before any new content was released. Seriously man, think about how many $60 games you’ve played for 10-20 hours and that’s it. Also, how many of those games were always online and required constant maintenance and patches? Sure, Bungie didn’t fully deliver on their promises at

Yep, check your facts. They never promised a raid. That picture thats going around is a datamined image that was placeholder. Bungie clearly said to not believe any of those images. And I’m pretty sure you bought the expansion pass BEFORE any info on any of the content was released.

It was mentioned that Etheric Light would drop from Prison of Elders, Trials of Osiris, and Nightfalls. (edit) And both Raids, and Iron Banner, like thegreg89 pointed out.

Show me where there was an ironclad promise of a raid in House of Wolves. No, that leaked screenshot from the data mine does not count. Also, if any such promise includes the phrase "content subject to change" anywhere on the promotional material, that doesn't count either.

I saw that, and while anyone who reads Kotaku knows that I’m as harsh a critic of Destiny as there can be, I don’t think it’s fair to make assumptions about what they may or may not have intentionally held back as DLC just because we can see a few shots of the Reef in an early trailer.

...as someone who doesn’t care for Star Wars, perhaps you just shouldn’t click on articles focused on a topic you clearly do not care for?

That might be a start.

You’re on the wrong site if you don’t like Star Wars. That’s like going on io9 and saying Dr. Who sucks.

Actually you should log off and never come back kthx.

Yes, yes you should. So long!

Don’t click on it if you don’t like it. The internet isn’t tailored to your (lack of) taste.

There’s a major Star Wars event happening this weekend, hence the noise. It should blow over by Monday.

The first Chronicles game stars a woman.
