There is little to no shooting. You can literally kill or flee most confrontations or even hack your way in from the sidewalk outside and not have to interact with anyone.
Get out of here with your intelligent thoughts, and realistic expectations. this game is a zero out of ten because the guy doing the review didn't want to shoot Maurice.
"A perfectly adequate game."
I like Watch Dogs, and I am still in Act II playing it. I understand people's disagreements with Aiden Piece being an "Empty Personality", but I think he was designed that way. He was created in a way that leaves him open to the Gamers interpretation. You want to play the good hearted vigilante that only kills…
It's not as good as Ubisoft told us it would be, but it's not nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be. It's a perfectly adequate game.
And you're done, Kotaku. If Watch_Dogs didn't even rate high enough to rate a 50% on your binary yes/no black/white review system, then it shows that your opinions once again do not mesh with my own, and should therefore not be used as a barometer.
You've effectively said that Watch_Dogs is just as good as Amazing…
AMEN. funny thing - as soon as I saw that Kotaku didnt get a review copy but other prominent game sites (such as joystiq) did made it pretty clear we were going to get a negative review. Follow the trail.
This is one of the worst reviews I've read on this site. And that's not to comment on Kirk's reviews as a whole because usually I agree with most of them. Clearly you're playing the game wrong. Can't tell you how many times I escaped areas or infiltrated a secured building without shooting a single bullet. Helicopter…
Keep in mind this is Kotaku, take EVERY review with HUGE giant salt shakers. 9/10 their opinions are fueled by some hidden agenda behind it, hence the making mention of "Where's the black and female protagonists herp derp!"
I'm so incredibly sad that there are so many people on this site that seem determined to watch this game fail. Either because it didn't meet their weird preconceptions of what it would be (despite nearly two years of previews) or because it didn't match the graphical fidelity that it was initially shown at (I don't…
I am actually having a lot of fun with it, however am not taking it very serious. The Multiplayer (as he pointed out) is amazing, the cat and mouse aspect is hilariously awesome at times, have not got my adrenaline flowing like that in quite awhile.
Shame you feel that this game is a waste of time and money, while i didnt read the whole review I very much got the impression is getting review is knocking the game for what it could of been rather then what it is, and what it is is stilla great GTA style game with an interesting twist.
I disagree I have enjoyed the crap outta the game, it feels more like people are jumping on it for the sake of jumping on it. Also using the minority thing as a negative seems like its here because it was a thing recently and kotaku wants to make a, we don't like that statement. There or tons of people with the same…
Correction: Never get a game based on a review, get it based no your own gameplay.
Um you forgot a few...
Your tone gives me a bad feeling.
Man I think I did good in just buying the ps4 version over the pc one this time.
